My name is Emily, and I'm not really interested in anything, except for everything.

So, I declared a Communications major before taking a communications course ever. I'm taking one now. It's terrible, horrible, no good, and very bad. I've never been more bored or unenthusiastic about anything before. Oy oy oy.
HOWEVERRRR I'm taking modern American history, and it reminded me how much i luuuuuv american history. And I don't have an English course, and it makes me miss it oh oh so much.
So if I mapped it right, I can drop communications and pick up a double major in History and English, so long as I don't go abroad next Spring. Which is actually good, because then me and Bonnie will have the entire apartment to ourselves for the entire semester (aka own bathroom and someone who loves cleaning and is an enjoyable person to sit in a room with. especially when VH1 trash TV is on. Major happiness points.)
Ah, I was just interrupted by chatting with my dear friend Joseph. Anyway.
I can still go to London the summer after junior year. So, yeah. That works out too. Much glee from New York.
Barnes and Noble cut my hours from 4 shifts a week (about 30 hours) to 1 (about 8 hours). Woo. I love not earning enough money to do things like eat, let alone certain relaxing activities. Not fun.

Other than that, classes are bad. I don't like any of them (except history, and even in that the professor isn't the most engaging. how can you teach history and not know things like dates or names of things? whatevs.)

Back to communicationsssejljlksd; reading. only 70 pages left! yes!

I love my best friend. [June 3, 2006]
Dear Emily,
I miss those days when we'd talk about how there was no one else in the world like us.
Which is probably true.
We were always the weirdest kids around town.
We were the dynamic duo of awkward adolescence.
I like how no matter how many times we would change our hair it would always look the same.
Still.
I like how we walked everywhere and anywhere, down high ways in below zero weather, just to go to stop&shop where we wouldn't even buy anything.
We did everything together, grew into young adults together, went through the same phases together, dreamed about the same things, wore the same things, thought about the same things.
And even though we probably never stopped laughing since the day we met, since that seemed to be an instictive thing just from being around eachother, we were also went through some bad times too.
When I moved away from that "dumb town" we'd alway complain about, it was pretty hard knowing we couldnt do everything together any longer.
Since then we've grown up a whoooooole lot.
and I do not think I'd be the person I am today without your friendship.

So
I miss you lots and I can't wait to for you to coooooome.

Dear Jackie,

I love you more than anything and I miss you like crazy. I wish you would come home. I can't wait to see you and I wish I were staying for longer than one week but if one week is what I get then it will truely be the best week ever.
You are the most amazing person in the world and together we are truely best friends over any best friends ever. We've stuck together through all the teenage drama bullshit and still managed to preserve our friendship to its fullest extent.
Hell, we live thousands of miles away and our hair still looks exactly the same. You can't get closer than that.
You know me better than anyone and I think you're the only person who I could stay entertained with when we had nothing but ourselves.
All the roads we've walked on will always echo Island In The Sun. Everytime I walk down those roads I always just think of you and how we'd be walking back with hair dye or food or a stolen camera.
I miss being bored and not having you here to be bored with. I miss making the most disgusting looking cookies in the world yet they taste amazing. I miss just being drunk off of nothing and taking random pictures. Most of all, I miss you.
Thank you for everything you've done for me, and I can't wait to go to Chapel Hill so I can be closer to you.

Just 21 more days...
